Linden Lab Enhances Technology With Acquisitions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA & BOSTON, MA -- Virtual world creator Linden Lab announced the acquisition of various technologies to enhance the realism of its flagship site, www.SecondLife.com.

The company acquired atmospheric rendering technology WindLight from Windward Mark Interactive, cloud simulator Nimble, and related intellectual property and interests.

Linden Lab aims to integrate the technology into its site as well as hiring the five founders of Windward Mark in the company's Boston office.  Alliance, another game developed by Windmard Mark Interactive, is not a part of the transaction and will be developed as a separate product.
